First Day of Spring

March 20th marks the first day of Spring! Reminder that with the change of seasons, the children will be spending more time outside. Please remember to have a LABELED change of clothes (including socks) for your child as things tend to get wet with the melting snow. Thank you!

Helpful Hint:

If your child will be out for the day or coming in late, a phone call would be very much appreciated. This will be a help to your child's teacher. Thank you!

Our New Face Lift!

Thank you for your patience while we give The Ark a face lift. All the classrooms are scheduled to be repainted and the improvements to the kitchen and dining areas have given us a fresh new look.

Thank you to Olivia & Aria's dad Chris and his company Home Lock Construction for our new textured walls in our dining areas and the new tile in our kitchen. We also want to thank Michael's mom and dad for all the nights and weekends they have spent repainting the center.

Happy Spring,
The Ark Team.

Welcome 2016!

Hard to believe 2015 is behind us already. We are looking forward to another good year here at the ark. in 2015 we saw some great things!

  1. We celebrated our 17th birthday!
  2. Enjoyed another awesome preschool graduation!
  3. Our October Cherrydale fundraiser helped us with the purchase of the new slide. Additional upgrades for the toddler playground and addition to the preschool structure are scheduled for next spring.
  4. Our annual Fall Festival was great fun for all.
  5. The staff Annual Christmas Party was held @ Fire Dragon Ceramics in Franklin. Miss Lisa was the big winner of this years door prize.
  6. 2015 brought us more children and we were able to expand our program to add more classroom space.
  7. We are planning some inside improvements for 2016. Stay tuned for more information as we move into the new year.

Let it snow!

We are happy to have had some snow (with more to come) filling our playground. Please make sure your child has all the necessary gear to play outside (hats, boots, mittens, snow pants, winter jackets). Extra clothes and extra socks should also be packed in case they need to change after being in the wet snow. We don't want anyone to miss out on all the fun because they don't have the warm clothing needed.

Please make sure all items are CLEARLY LABELED with your child's name and that you check labels before taking their things home to be sure you have what belongs to your child.

Slippers are a great option for after outdoor time ;)

Look for your child's progress report soon! Let us know if you would like to schedule a parent/teacher meeting.

The best of all gifts around any Christmas tree: the presence of a happy family all wrapped up in each other.
— Burton Hillis

Merry Christmas Party!

The Children's Christmas party will be on Friday December 18. There will be a gift exchange between the children. We ask that a boy buy a boy gift and a girl buy a girl gift. Please limit the cost to $5.00 and have your gift to your child's teacher by Wednesday December 16. Let your child's teacher know if this is a hardship for your family.

Please label your gift To: a boy/girl. From: Your child's name. This will ensure that no child will be left out and that they don't receive their own gift. Also, the children who attend kindergarten will have their Christmas at "Big School."

Reminders

Please remember the cold weather means our kids need hats, mittens, boots, warm jackets, and show pants to keep warm outside. We go outside every day weather permitting.

The Cherrydale Fundraiser items should be here soon. We apologize for the delay in receiving those items. We will get them to you as soon as they arrive.

LIFETOUCH picture packets/payments are due back to the office by Friday December 4, 2015.
